Cow DungDryer / Cattle Manure Dryer Brief Introduction: DriedCow Dung can be used as organic fertilizer and fuel, etc.Cow Dungis considered as "cold" manure since it is moister and less concentrated than most other animal manure. It breaks down and gives off nutrients fairly slowly. It can be an especially good source of beneficial bacteria, because of the complex bovine digestive system. Without dewatering units, SunCo MachineryCow DungDryercandewater thecow dungfrom moisture 60-70%to about moisture 13% one time directly. After being dried, the cow dung is in safety moisture for storage and production of organic fertilizer, etc. By using manure dewatering machine, the moisture content of cow manure can be reduced to be about 60-65%, then use the cow manure dying machine to heat and dry the cow manure. To do it in this way, it can help to reduce much of the fuel consumption. Is your dryer squeaking every time you run a cycle? A noisy dryer isnt just a nuisance: it could be a sign that you have a malfunctioning dryer part. Like all symptoms of appliance wear and tear, its not something that should be ignored and left to worsen. Lets explore the common culprits of a noisy dryer, so you can get to the root of your dryers irritating squeak.

If youre experiencing unusual dryer noises, check the following first: Foreign objects: Sometimes a noisy dryer is simply caused by items that have fallen out of clothing pockets and are knocking around the drum during a cycle. Inspect the drum for foreign objects like coins or paper clips. Objects may also be trapped below the lint filter. Remove the lint filter and look down the opening. If you see an object, unplug the dryer and use work gloves to retrieve the item.Dryer legs: Dryer legs that have become loose or uneven over time can cause a noisy cycle. Inspect the legs underneath the dryer and tighten the screws as needed.Loose screws: Loose screws may cause irritating noises. Inspect all exposed screws and tighten or replace as needed.

A squeaking dryer may also be caused by damaged or worn-out dryer parts. To help pinpoint the source of the squeak, start by listening to where the noise is coming from. Louder noises at the top of the dryer suggest a drive belt problem, while noises from the rear suggest drum bearing issues, and noises close to the floor point towards idler pulley or motor issues.Drive belt: A worn, cracked, or stretched belt that fails to grip the dryer drum properly will result in a squeaky noise on each full rotation. Certain stop-gap measuressuch as bar soap or belt spraycan mute the squeak temporarily, but take this as your warning sign that the belt is on its way out and should be replaced with a genuine GE Appliances replacement part before long.Dryer motor and bearings: The dryer motor has bearings that allow the drive shaft to spin. If the motor emits a noticeable squeak as it's running, it could be that these bearings are wearing out. That squeak will eventually become a grinding sound, which means real damage is being done. Because the drive shaft is encased, the motor will have to be replaced by a trained professional.Idler pulley: This spring-loaded wheel fulfils a small but important role: it maintains tension for the drive belt. If it becomes damaged or dislodged, the resulting friction on the drive belt will cause an audible squeakand require a replacement idler pulley to be installed. If the wheel pulley's bearing is squeaking, a spray of lithium grease may be enough to silence that irritating squeak.

If your dryer is still squeaking, dont wait until it becomes an even bigger headache. Put your GE dryer in good hands by enlisting the experts at GE Appliances Factory Service. real talk: is your pricey hair dryer really worth it?

real talk: is your pricey hair dryer really worth it?

Purchasing a hair dryer is a confusing processand the inscrutable terminology brands use to market their blow-dryers doesn't help. We see words like "ionic!" and "tourmaline!" on the packaging, and we figure those must refer to something we want. But do we understand what these terms actually mean and how they translate to actual quality?

Typically, what sets the high-quality dryers apart from the rest is an airstream that's evenly heated, adds Ming Tran. This allows you to dry your hair quickly without overheating certain sections and damaging them. "High-quality dryers generally incorporate advanced dryer components, heating, and airflow technology to enable this," she says. Multiple heat and speed settings can help, as can ionic, ceramic, and tourmaline technology, which serve to customize the drying experience.

But how can you telljust from the packaging which type of dryer will workbest for your hair? That's where our experts come in.Keep scrolling for your crash course in the language of hair dryers and choose the right one for you!

Let's start with what the heck "tourmaline" means. We see this word on dryers both drugstore and high-end but what exactly does it do?According to Paulette Heller, tourmalineis a semiprecious gemstone that's crushed into a fine powder and built into the internal components of a hair dryer.

When this powder is heated, cooled, or pressurized, it generates an electrical charge, emitting both negative ions and far-infrared heat, says Coughlin. "When used within a dryer (or any other hot tool), the far-infrared heat locks in hair's moisture, while the negative ions seal the cuticle to deliver shiny, frizz-free results," she says.

But, when you're using other tourmaline hot tools, be sure that they're made with tourmaline technology and not just a tourmaline coating. A coating will flake off over time, while the real deal stays effective for longer, meaning it protects your hair for longer, too.

Compounded ceramic is another common addition to the structure of premium quality hair dryers, says Heller. The benefit of ceramic is that it heats up quickly and evenly across its surface and generates infrared heat. This means it works to gently dry hair from the inside out and protectsit from excess damage. Translation: If you see the word "ceramic" in the product description, consider it a positive.

Personally, whenever I see the word "wattage" listed on a hair dryer, it reminds me of high school science, whichmakes me immediately want to disengage. But according to Coughlin, it's not that scary. "A dryer's wind power is measured in watts, so the higher the number, the quicker the drying time," she says. If you have coarse or thick hair, opt for a dryer with 1800W or more. "Fine and short hair can still get great results using a dryer with much less airflow," she says.

When you see labels like "AC" or "DC" on a dryer, it refers to current. "An alternating current (AC) motor tends to be the professional choice, as it is typically stronger and hotter than a dryer utilizing a direct current (DC) motor," Coughlin explains.

That said, a DC dryer is great for everyday users because it's much more lightweight. While it won't last as long as an AC,Coughlin says this will not affect the average at-home user the way it might a stylist, who uses their dryer all day, every day. In other words, if you're a regular consumer, feel free to go DC.

"Brushless motor" is a lesser-known term, and that's because the technology is relatively new. "Most dryer motors use carbon brushes that wear out over time, causing the motor to stop working," says Heller. By contrast, brushless motors use magnets and electronics to drive the motor, extending the life of the dryer 10 times longer than AC motor dryers.

"This motor type delivers the best of both worldsits lightweight, whisper-quiet, and delivers a strong airflow and maximum heat for quick and frizz-free results," adds Coughlin. "Dryers that utilize this motor type are more expensive; however, the lifetime of the dryer is often five to 10 years versus the standard one to two years."

Ionic is another word that reminds me of a high school physicsclass. But Heller breaks it down like this: Ions are invisible particles that are present all around us, but positively charged ions create noticeable problems for our hair, like static electricity, frizz, and flyaways.

What ionicstyling tools do is emit negative ions to attract positive ones and neutralize them. "When negative ions neutralize positive ions, they eliminate static electricity," she says. Ionic hot tools can also go by "nano-ionic" or "tourmaline ionic," but don't worry, they all do the same thing: Reduce frizz and flyaways and boost radiance.

dryer not heating up? heres what to do

dryer not heating up? heres what to do

Few things are more frustrating than finding your clothes wet after the dryer runs. Is your dryer not heating up? Common reasons for an electric or gas dryer not heating are a tripped circuit breaker, clogged vent, and no gas flow. Other potential reasons include a faulty thermal fuse and broken heating element.

If you gather your tools and follow this guide, you may be able to solve basic dryer heating problems on your own. But if you cant get your dryer going or you simply dont have time, call your local Mr. Appliance professionals or schedule appliance service online.

Electric dryers need two 120v breakers: one to run the motor that turns the drum, and one to power the heating element. Those breakers may trip independently, depending on how the panel is wired. One tripped breaker would explain why the drum is turning while the dryer is stone cold. If any breakers are tripped in your electrical panel, reset them.

If you have a gas dryer, make sure you paid your gas bill on time and that the gas valve feeding the dryer is on. Make sure the appliance gas line is the right size (is it 3/4 inch?), and pursue gas line replacement if needed.

If your dryer has other symptoms besides unregulated temperature, try our dryer troubleshooting tool to find out which component is likely failing. Some homeowners may try to test and replace these parts on their own, but professional dryer repair is recommended in order to positively diagnose the issue and eliminate safety concerns.

how a steam dryer works | howstuffworks

how a steam dryer works | howstuffworks

Conventional dryers apply heat to wet clothes to evaporate the moisture, or turn the liquid water into a gas. This resultant gas is, of course, steam. So why design a dryer to apply more steam to clothes?

Even though steam is a byproduct of drying, applying steam at the right times to wet clothes or dry clothes has advantages. Steam penetrates and moistens clothes deeply, which has a softening effect that reduces wrinkles. Also, because steam can reach high temperatures, it effectively sanitizes clothes, which helps to eliminate those nasty smells.

Steam can offer similar benefits to completely dry clothes. For instance, if your favorite shirt reeks of that smoky bar you went to last night and you don't have time for a full wash the next morning, you can throw it in an LG steam dryer for a quick 20-minute steaming -- what LG calls the SteamFresh cycle. Without using liquid water or even detergent, the steam alone can refresh the item. But make sure that shirt doesn't have any stains before you drop it in this cycle because the hot steam might set them.

Steam dryers can also reduce the wrinkles in dried clothes. This is especially helpful if you're not around when the dryer cycle ends, and you're clothes have hardened with wrinkles by the time you get to them. Running the dryer again with steam could soften and de-wrinkle them.

Not all steam dryers were created equal. They apply different steam in different ways. Maytag models don't release a stream of pure steam, but rather a fine mist to the clothes. The heat in the dryer then raises the temperature of the mist to turn it to steam. Other dryers use a steam generator to release pure steam to the clothes.

In the steam dryers we've discussed so far, steam doesn't do any drying per se, but rather refreshes and reduces wrinkles. The dryer simply releases steam during the cycle before drying the items again. But as odd as it sounds, steam could potentially dry fabrics, too. An advanced drying technique involves using superheated dry steam, which is steam that doesn't contain any liquid water. This kind of steam is purely gas and invisible to the human eye, as opposed to wet steam, which suspends visible water droplets.

By superheating dry steam to a high enough temperature, machines can use steam to dry items. The very hot steam effectively heats moisture to the evaporation point [source: van Deventer]. Then, the dryer circulates the resulting evaporated moisture out of the system and repeats the process. Though intended for industrial dryers, perhaps the technology of superheated steam dryers will eventually make its way into mass-produced home dryers.

If you crave the benefits of steam drying but can't afford to cough up the money for a new top-of-the-line dryer, there are easy alternatives. For instance, merely hanging a wrinkled shirt in your bathroom while you take a steamy-hot shower will release the crinkle. You can also throw the item in your dryer along with a wet item. The wet item will produce steam to de-wrinkle the dry item.

In the end, steam washers and dryers simply add more options and flexibility to solve your laundry quandaries. To get more dirt on cleaning methods and steam technology, take a gander at the links below.
